City legend dies

MANCHESTER - Premier League lost another legend. Michael Doyle, a former Manchester City skipper dies after battling liver cancer. Doyle died at the age of 64 years.

Doyle, who played more than 500 appearances for City, no longer can be saved after a failed liver disease doctors cured Tameside Hospital. Doyle is survived by his wife (Cheryl), four children (Grant, Scott, Stephanie and Natalie) and six grandchildren.

The disease is a devastating effect on the alcohol problem that he had experienced. Even so, Doyle will be remembered as one of public Eastlands one of the legends that often displays unusual method of football.

Doyle also personally loyal to the City and often hatred against city rivals Manchester United. Doyle, who plays as a midfielder and sometimes a defender, had served with The Citizens since 1965-1978.

A total of 40 goals he dedicated to the public of The City of Manchester Stadium during the 13-year career. A number of trophies has also he offered. FA Cup, European Cup Winners Cup and two League Cups he dedicate to City.

Doyle also had a five times a pillar of the UK, although without any concrete achievements with the Three Lions. But with these accomplishments, Doyle will be remembered as one of the legends City and the Premier League's greatest

Unfortunately, Doyle would not have time to see City play in the Champions League, the highest league in Europe. Scott, one of her sons also recalled his father's heyday was when Doyle was playing great for families and fans.

"He is a great footballer, playing hundreds of games for City and England, but for me and family, she is also an exceptional father," said Scott, as reported by Soccerway, Tuesday (06/28/2011).
