Moggi Sentenced to Life

Turin - Luciano Moggi is now really have to say goodbye to the world of football. Former Juventus sporting director of the new ban convicted in active football for life.

Moggi did not by himself, two people known to be involved in the Calciopoli scandal in 2006, as finance director Antonio Giraudo and Juventus as vice president Innocenzo Mazzini FIGC also get a similar punishment.

The verdict of the discipline committee FIGC were read by Sergio Artico. On that occasion also mentioned that the FIGC will still process the reports of fraud involving another club (Inter Milan as the prime suspect), although the results still will not affect the sentence Moggi et al.

"Punishment Moggi comparable behavior. While Mazzini convicted of extraordinary influence over his actions in his capacity as vice president of FIGC. He tried to change the results and support the individual interests.

"The fact of other parties who act the same remains to be proven and have no bearing on punishment right now," the FIGC disciplinary commission's decision as quoted by the Italian Football on Thursday (06/16/2011).

Before the verdict, Moggi has been serving a five-year duration. But after an additional proposal that is included in the previous sentence where they can still get a new sentence, then FIGC entitled to give the maximum sanction.
