Special victory for Spies

Assen - Ben Spies recorded the first victory of his career in MotoGP 2011. The victory was even more special because it achieved, coinciding with the anniversary of Yamaha.

In the Dutch MotoGP race held at the Circuit Assen, Spies shown scintillating performance. Starting from the second position, Racing Yamaha rider sped to victory in the inaugural MotoGP stage, throughout his career.

"It's very special. This is the biggest victory for me and good to get it. Because, this is the path which I used to watch my heroes race. With Yamaha celebrates 50 years plus special colors and all the legends come to see, it all feels incomplete," said Spies.

"The race was strange, but, this is one of the most comfortable race that we live and the results we can win. I see Simoncelli crash just from the TV screen. I am very comfortable with the bike on some of the early laps and I had to keep menggeber bike as fast as possible, "continued the driver from the United States.

Spies deserved fun. Because the former World Superbike star was listed as the second rider from the U.S. who managed to win at Assen Circuit. Finally, Nicky Hayden, who won the victory in the Netherlands, in 2006.

"When Stoner hit, I was still superior to a split second, we were always able to match his speed. Achieve victory on the day of the 50th anniversary, is a bit depressed, but the result is good.
