"It may seem strange, but I think it's important for us to appreciate this anniversary (birthday FA) with our game," explains the President of UEFA Michel Platini.
"Providing an exception to the historic moment through a beautiful game and the fact that we also celebrate the 150th anniversary of the embryo of the game, we feel is an obligation to help the FA UEFA celebrate such a special way," he continued, as quoted by Goal, Friday (17 / 6 / 2011).
"For this reason we decided to return to England and especially into the Wembley Stadium, the home FA to stage the Champions League final of 2013," he concluded.
