Turin - Italy court clinched the Serie A 2005-06 remain with Inter Milan. Practically, this regrettable decision by former Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli previously expecting that title is returned to Juventus.
As is known, the Serie A title was actually won by the Bianconeri. But, the title was stripped after the Turin giants were certainly guilty of fixing scandal, known by the name of Calciopoli.
Then, the Juventus take legal steps to make an appeal against the sentence. Unfortunately, the Italian court still decides the Serie A title in 2006 remain with the Nerazzurri.
"The decision was made too hastily. I still believe the opportunity remains open. But looking at the situation, it is difficult to find the best solution," commented Cobolli Gigli told Radio Sportiva, Sunday (07/03/2011).
"Because at that time, almost all club directors too often talking to the referee. Juventus did do it and so does the other clubs, including Inter, who are involved with the same scandal," he continued.
As is known, the Serie A title 2004-05 edition is no one has. But, the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) controversially awarded the 2005-06 season to the Inter, who finished third at the time behind Juve and AC Milan.
"We can say it is a bad practice. So, should the title in 2006 no one had it," said Coboli Gigli.
